Union Road Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1956. Our district covers 16 sq. miles with a call volume of about 400 calls per year and serve about 7800 residents. We are governed by one Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, four Captains, and a Board of Directors. We operate with an engine, pumper tanker, aerial, rescue company and a brush unit. We are located in the southern portion of Gaston County.
