At approx. 1030 on the morning of July 26th 2010 units were dispatched to Hemphill Rd. cross street of Safeway drive for a reported structure fire. Tanker 513 was first on scene and reported a one story single family residence with heavy smoke and flames showing from the B,C corner. They immediately requested a second alarm assignment due to the extreme heat that we are experiencing. Units placed a single 1.75 line to work until other units arrived. A total of two 1.75 lines were put in to play to extinguish the fire. The fire was controlled to the kitchen area and part of the living room. The fire was under investigation at the time units cleared.
